I buy yet another Domain

My first (and main) domain is demop.com.

I later got TheTedRap.com, which simply redirects to this blog. Traffic to The Ted Rap increased immediately, so apparently some people were already typing in TheTedRap.com when looking for The Ted Rap - makes sense, huh?

Then came BloggingforBusinessBook.com, where I actually blog more often these days. It's on Blogging and other new Internet things and their relationship to business, and can be considered a "book blog" - it was started to promote my Blogging for Business book and soon my next book whose name is too damn long to type!

I also snagged BusinessBloggingBook.com around the same time, but decided to use BloggingforBusinessBook.com instead so it just redirects there.

Then came The Santa Claus Blog - SantaBlog.org.
Yes, I blogged as Santa and will again come Christmas. It got the my children all excited about the 'puter and what Santa had to say all of December up to the 25th. Also I made a few bucks from ads and gave them to charity.

So whadidibuy? TedDemop.com. Just in case I want it later. It may end up being my speaking site, and Demop.com my consulting and training site, or ?

I almost bought Demopoulos.com months back, but thought "too hard to spell, besides I can always get it later." Guess what? Someone else got it - a travel site for Greeks booking travel to Greece.

Now I have friends with literally hundreds of sites, so I'm actually very reasonable. and domain names are cheap! teddemop.com is about $65 for 5 years.

Ted:

I'm snapping up domain names all the time. GoDaddy.com has a great deal going for $8.95 for a domain name for one year. Enter the promo code "Hash3" and you get .com names for only $6.95.

GoDaddy.com isn't paying for this; I just really like the price!

I've probably secured about 10 this year that way.

But, yes, some people really go nuts with it!
